Save the Fireworks in Vancouver

On February 4, 2009 the Vancouver Fireworks Festival Society announced that the 2009 HSBC Celebration of Light fireworks festival will be canceled due to financial constraints as a result of a lack of funding and corporate sponsorship in the current global economic climate. This is Vancouver’s signature event.
Ask yourself, what is Vancouver without its fireworks?
