Interesting post. Definately an eye opener. I hated to see it though, because Sarah rocks... but I've always kind of held the belief that you give according to what you are given. If you make little, you give what you can, if you make a lot, you give a lot. The gifts aren't equal for everyone, but the sacrifice should be.

You know, I had the same feeling. I have two thoughts about this. On one hand, it's a littel grotesque to see these celebrities talking about poverty but rolling up in limos. I remember feeling this way about Bono back in the 1980s too.

On the other hand, these people are giving money and raising awareness and doing a heck of a lot more than I am. And they earned their money and worked hard to get where they are. Don't they deserve to enjoy the fruits of their success?

Also, if I had millions of dollars, I like to think I would give most of it to good causes, but realistically that might not happen. Money changes people. And if someone only gives a million dollars to fight world hunger, is that enough? Does it depend on how much is in the bank? Where do you draw the line? Are we hipocrites talking like this because we use computers when that money could have fed a family in Laos for a year?

Just somem thoughts. Sorry to go on so long.
